Own the Shift ("OTS," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website otsowntheshift.com, the Frontline Coach app, and the associated books, videos, and email content, and is operated by OTS Media LLC, a Missouri limited liability company. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
We collect information directly from you when you interact with the site:
We also receive limited technical data automatically when you visit the site or use the app, such as IP address, browser type, and general usage logs. This is collected by our hosting provider (Netlify) and font provider (Google Fonts) as a standard part of serving web pages, not something we actively track or analyze at an individual level.
We do not collect payment information directly. Book purchases are processed entirely by Amazon under Amazon's own privacy practices, not ours.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
We rely on a small set of outside services to run OTS, each governed by its own privacy policy:
Frontline Coach is in open beta and now requires an account to use. When you use it, we store the inputs you enter into each tool and the coaching outputs generated — including practice roleplay transcripts and any information you enter about employees or coworkers — linked to your account, so your history carries across sessions and to protect against abuse. Your inputs are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate responses; we do not use them to train AI models, and we do not sell them. Account and session data is stored in Supabase on infrastructure located in Canada.
The Frontline Coach app has its own detailed Terms of Service and Privacy Policy — covering accounts, stored data, and AI use — which you can review inside the app and which govern your use of the app. As it moves toward a paid subscription, those terms will be updated to reflect any payment data collected, and you'll be able to review the changes before they take effect.
OTS content is built for working managers and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and the site is not directed at children.
We use reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy as OTS grows. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
